Tchefuncta Club Estates

The Tchefuncta Experience

Each year, Tchefuncta as a corporation holds elections for its Board of Directors. There are nine shareholder members of the Board with three new board members coming onto the Board each year as three members roll off. This system of governance has been in place since the neighborhood’s inception in 1956.

When Tchefuncta was created, the Founding Fathers vision was to make the community self-sufficient. Those pioneer shareholders carved out roads, buried power lines, placed phone lines, dug a water well, and laid water and sewer lines.

Today, Tchefuncta has an A-rated water system with its own water wells, oxidation ponds, fire hydrants throughout the neighborhood, and well-maintained roadways, ditches, and drainage systems.

The neighborhood also has its own fiber network that brings a high-speed internet at a reasonable price to shareholders who are looking for a reliable alternative to dish TV, cable, or other fiber providers.

With its own security team, Tchefuncta has strict regulations for its roadways, visitor and vendor access, and security cameras throughout the Estates. There is a guard gate that is always manned by trained professionals, and access into and out of Tchefuncta is closely monitored from the Pinecrest entrance.

Tchefuncta employs a grounds crew, maintenance personnel, a fiber technician, office staff, security guards, and a well-rounded team at the Country Club to staff golf, tennis, swimming, and the restaurant, bar, and grill. Trash collection is provided by a private service that Tchefuncta contracts with annually.
